Indicative capacity and space planning reflect the projected workforce. Where the programme requires it, the strategy can consider expansion, relocation or reconfiguration between phases.

Responsibilities

The layouts support planning and coordination. Final statutory welfare provision, fire safety, temporary services, servicing and regulatory compliance remain with the Principal Contractor and relevant project dutyholders.

Information and fees

Send site or floor drawings, projected workforce numbers by phase, office and accommodation requirements, the programme and any proposed cabin dimensions or supplier layouts. Fees reflect the agreed project scope. A fixed fee follows review of the information and scope.

Welfare space planning FAQs

What workforce information is needed?

Provide projected numbers by construction phase, expected peak attendance and any shift or staggered-break arrangements. Separate operative welfare needs from office desks, meeting rooms and other accommodation requirements so the space assumptions can be reviewed.

Can welfare move or expand between phases?

Yes. Where included in the scope, layouts can show how facilities expand, relocate or reduce as the workforce and work areas change. The transition needs coordination with the programme and project team so access and required facilities are maintained.

Can you plan welfare inside an existing building?

We can review the available floor plans for proposed accommodation layouts, subject to the project brief. Access, usable space and interfaces with the works need to be considered alongside specialist checks for structure, fire safety and services.

What drawings will I receive?

Annotated PDF layouts identify proposed spaces, circulation and the agreed workforce assumptions. Where required, alternative layouts or phase drawings can be included in the quotation. The scope confirms the drawings and revision allowance.

Does CLC supply cabins or design temporary services?

This service is for space planning and coordination. Cabin supply, installation, structural design and temporary services design are not included in the standard layout package and need to be arranged with the relevant suppliers and specialists.
