Construction Vehicle Access and Routing Plans
Coordinate the journey to your site with the gate, loading and departure arrangements. CLC prepares construction vehicle access and routing plans for London and UK planning and pre-construction projects.
Discuss your access requirementsFrom the strategic route to the site gate
CLC prepares construction vehicle access and routing plans for London and UK projects. The agreed review connects the proposed approach and departure routes with the site entrance, loading position and surrounding streets. Plans can support a CLP, a planning submission or pre-construction coordination.
What the plans can cover
The scope can include strategic and local approach routes, separate access and egress routes, gate locations, turning restrictions, loading interfaces and delivery-control notes. Known constraints such as narrow streets, parked vehicles, pedestrian crossings, cycle routes and neighbouring entrances are recorded where relevant. Unverified height, weight or access restrictions are identified for confirmation rather than assumed to be acceptable.
Routing plans and swept path analysis
A routing plan explains where vehicles are proposed to travel. Swept path analysis tests the geometry of specific manoeuvres using an agreed vehicle profile. Where needed, CLC coordinates both so that the route, gate and loading strategy use consistent vehicle assumptions. A route drawing alone does not establish that every vehicle can physically or legally use it.
Your deliverables
The agreed package comprises annotated PDF route and access drawings, with site-gate and loading information, vehicle assumptions and coordination notes as required. Strategic and local plans can be provided at different scales. Drawing numbers, assessment limits and revision allowances are confirmed in the scope.
Information required and fees
Send the site address, available site or topographical drawings, proposed gate and loading positions, vehicle types or supplier dimensions, programme and any planning condition or authority comments. Include known restrictions and access rights. CLC reviews the information and confirms a project-specific scope, fixed fee and timeframe before work starts.
Scope and responsibilities
Proposals remain subject to confirmed access rights, current restrictions and relevant authority requirements. Highway approvals, licences, traffic orders, structural or bridge assessments, abnormal-load permissions and live traffic management are outside the standard scope. Any separately agreed specialist work must be undertaken by the appropriate competent parties. This service is not a complete standalone Construction Management Plan.
