The constraints
Restricted local-road geometry, limited kerbside space and manoeuvring room, nearby rail and public transport, pedestrian and cycle activity, schools and sensitive neighbours all influenced the strategy.
CLC's approach
The plan coordinated principal-road routing, booked deliveries and call-forward arrangements with indicative site setup, welfare, storage and waste areas. Public access and sensitive delivery periods were considered alongside the construction vehicle movements.
Outputs
An Outline CLP, indicative site logistics plan, routing information and a coordinated access, delivery and public-interface strategy. Assumptions and matters needing further technical development were identified.
Outcome and next stage
The package supported the developing planning submission and provided a basis for detailed logistics design. Final access geometry, vehicle tracking, programme, contractor methodology and any statutory highway approvals remained to be confirmed.
